Christian Crisis Pregnancy Centers

0

Is there anyway to get the policy to change their crisis pregnancy center?

I do not want to become Christian, just to please them in order. I doubt that the only women in need of their services are Christians. I am not interested in prostelyzing. You can help me, but they remind me of a good Christian. Not interested. There are no other agencies in my area and I want to save lives. do not you think they stress that policy to the detriment of our community? We are not All Christians want to be here and not all of us, but we still need help in a crisis.

The basic premise / belief / opinion of the CPC's are that they have a female mind / decision simply by either 1) threatens her with some spiritual change or cosmic punishment 2) Shaming of touting its antiquated Gender stereotypes and roles than what they should try their lives according to the pattern 3) attempts to buy support them with "promises" is that not nearly enough. If you want a woman to have abortion, you have to change her whole life, with her aid, so they re-evaluate their situation. Women are pragmatists we see our lives realistic (as opposed to romantic) when we are pregnant. For many women, pregnancy seems to be a harsh light on the reality of the areas our lives that would make it impossible, in the introduction of a child. You can not hope to change minds if you change to no real life so much. Promising a few cans of formula or some diapers do not really help women who face difficult times in their lives. Job training, access to education, social assistance, affordable Housing, cheap transportation, alcohol and drug rehab services (almost unaffordable for women with low income, low-income women have the vast majority of abortions), depression / eating disorders / other psychological counseling (again not affordable), affordable medical care, including all prenatal Care and medication, and access to adequate food and childcare. CPC offers virtually none of these things and without it can not hope to have the women and effectively to raise children alone. When they began so really support women in a real, maybe you have my sympathy and support. But since they spend most of of their money to make abortion available on regulatory measures less (while doing nothing to any other area of women's lives to improve), instead it actual spending on women and their children, my advice is to see a very different avenue. Your local women's shelter, abuse, protect, and the homeless are all better places to start, where the money will actually help real, living, breathing human beings. Good luck! Peace, Jenn

Kids in Crisis: A Workable Plan for Successful Parenting

Kids in Crisis: A Workable Plan for Successful Parenting

$14.99

“From the popularity of “militant nanny” reality shows to the ever-struggling disciplinary systems in our schools, there’s evidence that more and more kids are seriously spinning out of control. For any mom or dad who thinks a certain child is just too tough to handle, Kids in Crisis provides a sane, workable plan for successful parenting. >Author Ross Wright culls his wisdom from the trenches, having more than twenty years of experience in the youth care field ranging from work at psychiatric institutes to his current role as executive director of a remarkably successful Christian foster care agency. Inside his engaging analysis of child development and behavior is the all-important theme of identifying strengths. By helping rebellious young people focus on what they do well, they in turn learn responsibility by having something to care about, to protect, and to productively share with others. >Written ideally with more prevention than intervention in mind, the book still speaks to parents who may currently be dealing with intense problems, from anger and mood disorders to violent acts, drug use, and teenage pregnancy.”
