Im 17 weeks & I have insomnia , is Ambien ok?

Im 17 weeks and sleeping is really really difficult, I had this problem before i was pregnant too. Somebody told me you can take ambien during your pregnancy? I researched a little bit and it didn’t convince me it was completely safe. Has anyone taken it during their pregnancy’s?? What other safe remedies did u use?

i was taking ambien before my last pregnancy and when i became pregnant the doctor had me stop. i’m not convinced it’s safe either. i would try a different approach and if youre using caffeine, try stopping that, try chamomile tea before bed, warm bath. i understand though, it sucks, especially when you know that when that baby comes you wont be able to sleep either so it would be nice to get as much as you can now. good luck
